The Essential Services Project continues with a new show live in New York City!
SYNOPSIS: John recreates The Battle of the Bulge onstage as he enacts the true story of gay hero Twink Starr, who fought in the battle and died at the age of 96, a queer hero. Bulge! tells the exciting story of Twink’s coming out during the Great Depression, enlistment in Wordl War II, war service, capture buy the Germans, and eventual triumph as a queer activist in post-war America.

John Fisher has performed numerous shows at The Center and around NYC, mostly Off-Broadway: Actor’s Temple, Actors’ Playhouse, Barrow Street, Soho Playhouse, The Tank NYC, Pangea, Theatre Row, etc. He is the recipient of the Best Actor Award from the United Solo Festival as well as a GLAAD Media Award, an NEA Project Grant and numerous other awards, grants and fellowships. John is Artistic Director of Theatre Rhinoceros, the longest-running queer theatre on the planet, and has taught at Yale and UC Berkeley. www.JohnLathamFisher.com
